A Classic Overnight Street Hockey Camp Experience on Lake Winnipesaukee!
Congratulations on discovering a one-of-a-kind overnight summer camp experience for your child—a place where their love for hockey meets the magic of a classic New England lakefront adventure. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be…
Welcome to the tradition of WINNIHOCKEY! Here, the focus is on providing a classic summer camp experience for all our campers—while taking a break from the ice, having fun, building friendships, making lasting memories, playing great street hockey, and simply enjoying being a kid.
Each day at camp begins with stepping out of your cabin to take in the breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee. After a delicious breakfast (CHECK OUT OUR MENU) with cabin mates and camp staff, campers throw on their sneakers and reversible jerseys, grab their equipment bags and sticks, meet at the fire circle, and head out for the camp stretch and morning team-building activity. These warm-ups incorporate fun, character-building games and provide everyone—including our amazing staff, who share a lifelong love for hockey—with the chance to get to know each other. Campers will also learn off-ice skill training tips to take home, compete in challenges, and enjoy a spirited street hockey tournament. Once everyone is energized, we head to our assigned playing surfaces, suit up, and dive into the day’s skill training theme and fun skills competitions.
After the morning street hockey session, campers put their equipment away, return to their cabins to hydrate, change into swimsuits, and enjoy free time playing recreational camp games, sports, and hockey-themed activities. With licensed lifeguards on duty, we announce that the waterfront is officially open! This is where the magic of summer camp truly comes to life at WINNIHOCKEY. Campers can swim, hang out with friends, throw a frisbee, play Spikeball, KanJam, Sauce Toss, ping pong, have a lacrosse catch, play soccer, toss a football, or simply relax in Adirondack chairs, soaking in the camp experience. Most importantly, campers are unplugged from technology, fully present, and making the most of every moment!
To further elevate this special time, we offer additional hockey-themed activities like the dock shot, hockey arts & crafts, learning to juggle, and more during the later part of the morning and afternoon free time. Campers can join in the fun, socialize, jam out to great tunes, or take it all in at their own pace.
Next, we head back to our picturesque dining hall for a delicious lunch, where we review the highlights of the day thus far, celebrate birthdays, and enjoy a meal together. Afterward, it’s time to recharge with a little rest, hydration, and relaxation. This is a great moment for campers to bond with their cabin mates and Cabin Counselors—dedicated role models who share a passion for hockey and a genuine love for mentoring kids.
Once everyone is refreshed, it’s time to grab their equipment bags and sticks for two exciting hours of competitive round-robin tournament play. Campers compete in either the 9-10 y/o Modern Era Division or the 11-12 y/o Classics Division for a chance to be crowned WINNICUP Champions at the end of the week! We also love goaltenders and welcome them with open arms. If your child is serious about netminding, they can register as a full-time goalie and make a lasting impact on camp while honing their skills in a fun, supportive environment.
After some spirited gameplay, everyone heads back to their cabins to change and enjoy another round of camp activities and swimming during free time, while our talented kitchen staff prepares a fantastic dinner. Our three square meals are another classic highlight of the camp experience, where we all eat together in the timeless dining hall, surrounded by camp history, making memories to last a lifetime!
After dinner, campers have the chance to freshen up in their gender-specific shower houses, which are equipped with individual privacy stalls. Our camp setting is not only historic but also uniquely designed, with separate Cabin Rows for boys and girls on two scenic peninsulas that meet at a shared lawn and waterfront. Each cabin has dedicated Cabin Counselors who prioritize their campers’ well-being, participate in camp activities, and provide ongoing support throughout the camp experience. The positive bonds formed between campers and their assigned Cabin Counselors are truly heartwarming.
Once everyone has freshened up, the entire camp gathers at the historic playhouse/fire circle for the evening camp activity. From Cabin Scavenger Hunts to Hockey Movie Nights, Campfire Karaoke-Glow Nights, the Camp Dance, and more, each night is crafted to create an unforgettable summer camp experience!
After a day filled with street hockey, delicious food, great memories, and nonstop fun, campers and staff return to their cabins for lights out at 9:45 PM, with the expectation that the entire camp is fast asleep by 10:00 PM. We are a highly supportive camp and are always in tune with the needs of our campers. If a camper wants to get to bed a little earlier, we’ll positively accommodate them.
Safety is Our Top Priority! We have specific protocols in place for inclement weather and designated boundaries for each portion of the day. While our camp is highly secure, campers understand where the action is happening at all times. We also have a strict code of conduct focused on treating everyone with kindness—there’s zero tolerance for bullying. If any challenges arise, we take pride as educators in turning them into teachable moments, helping our campers learn from mistakes, become better people, and ultimately find resolutions that allow everyone to get back to enjoying the positive camp vibes! Additionally, we have a no-water policy during non-lifeguard swim times, which is strictly followed. Should a ball go in, campers know to mind the gap—staying at least 3 feet from any water's edge—and if something goes in, it's not a problem. They just need to immediately ask a staff member for assistance retrieving it.
Throughout the night, Directors and Senior Staff conduct scheduled rounds to ensure the well-being of all campers. Each cabin has counselors sleeping by the door, trained and ready to support campers at a moment’s notice. A dedicated and actively involved Camp Nurse is on duty 24/7, ready to handle any medical needs that may arise.
With over two decades of camp experience at this incredible location—as campers, Cabin Counselors, and Administrators—it is an honor to provide the highest level of safety, fun, and quality as your Camp Directors and Staff Team at WINNIHOCKEY!
We take the responsibility of ensuring your child’s experience is the best it can be, and so do our fellow Senior Staff and Cabin Counselors. We love what we do, summer after summer, because we care deeply about kids—and as our campers, they are our entire focus!
We couldn’t be more excited to bring this unique four-night, five-day experience to life for campers who love hockey—so they can enjoy an authentic New England sleepaway camp, play great street hockey, build lasting friendships, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Most of all, we can’t wait for our campers to fully embrace being kids and have the time of their lives! We look forward to receiving and processing your son or daughter’s registration and welcoming them to the best week of their summer this August!
WELCOME TO WINNIHOCKEY At WINNIHOCKEY, our mission is simple yet profound: to provide the other end of the spectrum from high-pressure, elite hockey and instead give kids the space to just be kids—playing for the pure love of the game, making lifelong memories, and experiencing the unmatched camaraderie of camp life. Here, hockey is played in its purest form—street hockey with friends from across New England—in a setting that builds character, confidence, and independence. Away from home, campers grow not just as athletes, but as people, discovering the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth in a supportive and uplifting environment. But WINNIHOCKEY is more than just a hockey camp. It’s a place where kids build lifelong friendships, gain valuable life lessons, and have an absolute blast. They arrive united by their passion for hockey and leave with so much more—shared experiences, deep connections, and memories that will last a lifetime.
